The Printmaking Learning Journey Starter Course
Dates: 12.1.26 – 2.2.26
This starter course, suitable for beginners, will be enjoyable, friendly and help students further their learning.
Participants will:
• Learn printmaking basic methods (e.g. monoprinting, mark-making)
• Produce simple prints using accessible tools and materials
• Develop creative confidence and reflect on learning
• Identify interest in continuing with further learning
The Printmaking Journey Developer Course
Dates: 23.2.26 – 30.3.26
Develop your skills in printmaking in this enjoyable, friendly course suitable for beginners and those with some experience.
Participants will:
- Build on techniques learned in the starter course and develop printmaking techniques
- Explore techniques such as lino, stencilling, and layering
- Develop a themed series of prints using mixed processes
- Reflect on technique, style, and personal growth through feedback
- Build readiness for independent or more advanced art projects
Our courses are FREE to Somerset residents who can evidence that their annual income is below £25k or in receipt of benefits. This is important to note as we are targeting people who may face challenges financially or with health and well-being. For learners who are not eligible for free courses, there will be a charge.
