Bridget Harvey - Service Director

Bridget has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years, both in the statutory and voluntary sectors. She is the driving force behind Heads Up and has enabled it to grow into a sustainable and dynamic service. Bridget has City and Guilds Level 3 in Community Mental Health, NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and Level 2 in both Leadership & Management and Dementia Awareness. Bridget brings commitment, passion and a wealth of experience to her role as Service Director. She is the recipient of several awards and is known within the field for her outstandingly creative approaches to improving the lives of those living with mental illness.

Michelle Payne - Operations Manager

Michelle has a BSc (Hons) degree in Business & IT and has a diverse wealth of knowledge & experience which she has accumulated over the last 30 years. Michelle has worked within a variety of organisations and across all sectors, including running her own business; but has spent the last 11 years being passionate about making a difference working in the charity sector.
Michelle’s responsibilities within Heads Up is to work closely with and support the Service Director, by overseeing and having the day to day responsibility for operational activities and business support requirements.

Jane Coombes - Finance Officer

Jane has worked in Finance all of her working life in a variety of organisations and financial institutions. Jane is AAT qualified in book-keeping and manages the accounts at Heads Up.

Nick Oakley – Business Support Assistant

Nick has worked in the Mental Health Sector for over 23 years. He has a City and Guilds Level 2 qualification in Bookkeeping. Nick manages the accounts at Heads Up and is our lead for IT support.

Andy Lewin – Woodwork Tutor / Dementia Tutor

Andy has worked and volunteered at Heads Up for a number of years. Working in both the Memories workshops and more recently the Woodwork workshop. Andy has achieved a Level 2 in Dementia Awareness and also in Mental Health Awareness. Andy is very creative and has the ability to work with a range of materials.

Lisa Hodges – Creative Activities Tutor

Lisa initially came to Heads Up as a client, as part of her mental wellbeing recovery programme.  She then became a volunteer, where she took advantage of the training opportunities offered to her at Heads Up to gain qualifications: NVQs at Level 2 in Mental Health Awareness, Working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and the Principles of Dementia Care.  6 years on and Lisa is still very passionate about using her own experience to inspire others. Lisa now runs various weekly workshops which support people’s mental wellbeing. In 2018, Lisa was recognised nationally for her commitment to learning. Miranda Frank - Outreach Support Worker

Miranda initially joined Heads Up as a Bank worker, when we initially started up our outreach support service; but has since become a member of staff. Miranda has over 10 years experience as a Support Worker and has an advanced apprenticeship in Adult Social Care and a NCFE Level 2 in supporting people with Learning Difficulties.
