Lisa initially came to Heads Up as a client, as part of her mental wellbeing recovery programme. She then became a volunteer, where she took advantage of the training opportunities offered to her at Heads Up to gain qualifications: NVQs at Level 2 in Mental Health Awareness, Working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and the Principles of Dementia Care. 6 years on and Lisa is still very passionate about using her own experience to inspire others. Lisa now runs various weekly workshops which support people’s mental wellbeing. In 2018, Lisa was recognised nationally for her commitment to learning.
