It is suitable for beginners who would like to learn new skills in Cooking for Positive Mood on a budget.
If you would like to learn recipes that support positive mood and well-being then The Cooking for Positive Mood on a Budget Starter Course is for you. It will be enjoyable, friendly and help you further your learning.
You will:
- Understand how healthy food supports positive mood and well-being
- Cook simple, nutritious meals using affordable ingredients
- Understand basic nutrition and its effect on well-being
- Gain confidence trying new recipes and ingredients
- Prepare a variety of seasonal, affordable recipes
- Use kitchen tools and follow food safety practices
- Reflect on their food habits and well-being
- Engage socially in group tasks and discussions
- Identify next steps for further learning or volunteering
Our courses are FREE to Somerset residents who can evidence that their annual income is below £25k or in receipt of benefits. This is important to note as we are targeting people who may face challenges financially or with health and well-being. For learners who are not eligible for free courses, there will be a charge of £147
