The Cooking For Positive Mood Developer Course will enhance learners skills in cooking and nutrition for well-being. Suitable for beginners who would like to learn new skills.
Aims:
- Deepen practical cooking skills and confidence
- Enhance nutrition knowledge to support well-being
- Encourage creativity with ingredients and cooking methods
- Foster independence in planning, budgeting, and preparing meals
- Promote collaboration and peer support
Learners will:
- Prepare diverse, nutritious meals using seasonal ingredients
- Apply nutritional principles to design balanced, mood-supportive dishes
- Follow and adapt recipes independently
- Plan and shop for meals on a budget
- Build social and teamwork skills through group cooking
- Reflect on personal progress and plan next steps (e.g., volunteering or further learning)
Our courses are FREE to Somerset residents who can evidence that their annual income is below £25k or in receipt of benefits. This is important to note as we are targeting people who may face challenges financially or with health and well-being. For learners who are not eligible for free courses, there will be a charge.
