Wells Community Shed

Wells Community Shed

The Wells Community Shed (WCS), which opened on 12 October 2018 and was funded by the Masonic Charitable Foundation, is in the grounds of  Heads Up.

On Mondays the Shed is run as a ‘Men’s Shed’. On other days of the week the Shed is used by groups from Heads Up to develop entrepreneurial skills eg. upcycling furniture which is then sold at one of our craft stalls; helping raise money for Heads Up.

What is a Men’s Shed? It is a Not for Profit organisation, designed and run by its members.  It provides opportunities for people to share resources and skills in order to create, learn and develop social networks. The main theme of WCS (Men’s Shed) is furniture repair and restoration of quality furniture, along with creating projects from scratch such as hedgehog houses.  Future plans include branching out into other crafts such as mosaics.

If you would like further details or have any old tools or wood you could donate to WCS (Men’s Shed), then please contact Martin Curran using the details below.
